Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an AMR Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) within our operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background, a strong ability to learn and adapt, proficient computer knowledge, and the flexibility to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Deployment:
    • Install and configure AMRs according to project specifications.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AMRs into existing systems.
  2. Maintenance and Repair:
    • Conduct regular maintenance checks on AMRs to ensure optimal performance.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
  3. Software and Hardware Integration:
    • Update and upgrade AMR software to the latest versions.
    • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of AMRs with existing systems.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive records of AMR installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
    • Generate reports detailing the performance and status of deployed AMRs.
  5. Training and Support:
    • Provide training to end-users on the operation and basic maintenance of AMRs.
    • Offer technical support to internal teams and clients as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • Post Secondary degree with exposure to robotics, electronics, computers, or a related field a plus.
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
    • Familiarity with robotic systems, sensors, and automation technologies a plus.
  3. Communication:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Problem Solving:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  5. Flexibility and Travel:
    • Willingness to travel as required for installations and maintenance activities.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and work schedules.
